This article will guide you to set up Wix with Atom's domain!
After you go through their onboarding steps with Wix, you will arrive at "Connect a custom domain".
Type in the domain name you have with Atom then click "Let's Go". (You may need to upgrade to their Premium plan to do so. Please read "Keep Your Domain at Atom, Use Separate Hosting & Email."
After upgrading to Premium plan, you will see "Connect a domain" page.
Click "Yes, I own this domain"
Click "Start"
When you see Wix's guide page, create a new browser tab (or a new window) then login to your Atom account's Domain Manager.
Come back to the Wix's setup page then click "I logged in"
Wix will give you which nameservers to use. Save those information so that you can copy and paste into Atom's Domain Manager setting.
Values can be different so please make sure you are using the value Wix provided for your account.
Now go to Atom's Domain Manager.
Atom's Domain Setting page is under Domain Manager.
Your default name servers are ns1.atom.com, ns2.atom.com. We will change this to Wix's name server.
Click Nameserver names.
This will bring out domain setting side panel. Click "Nameservers & DNS"
This will expand settings. Choose "My Own Nameservers" then click "+Add Nameserver"
Add the values Wix provided here.
When name servers are successfully updated, you will see this message.
That's all you need to do on Atom's end!
Now go back to Wix's guide. On step 4, click "I've replaced my nameservers".
Wix will tell you that it can take up to 48 hours but it shouldn't take that long. Go grab a coffee then click "Track Domain Status".
If you see "Congratulations!", that means name server change was reflected to the world and now the domain is ready for website.
How to check? Open your browser and type in your domain name. You will see something like this.
