Before you start:

  1. You need a WordPress Premium subscription plan.

  2. Your domain must be purchased and active in your Atom account

  3. Access to your WordPress admin dashboard

Step 1: Add your domain

  1. Starting from your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Upgrades → Domains (or Hosting → Domains if using WP-Admin).

  1. Select “Use a domain I own” from the drop-down menu.

  1. Type the domain name you own and click the “Continue” button.

  1. On the next screen, you will see two options: transfer or connect. Click the “Select” button next to “Connect your domain”. It may take a few moments to be redirected to the next screen.

  1. On the next screen, click on “Start Setup” button

  1. On the next screen, click on “I found the domain's settings page” button

  1. You will see this screen.

Keep this tab open.

Step 2: Configure your domain

  1. Open a new tab and navigate to the registrar page: https://www.atom.com/dashboard/registrar. You will see all the domains that you own on Atom.

  2. Click on the domain that you would like to connect to your WordPress site.

  1. Now, you’re on the “Domain summary” page. The page link should look like this: https://www.atom.com/dashboard/registrar/domain-summary/{your_domain}.

  2. Click on “My Own Nameservers” → “Add more servers”

  1. Go back to the WordPress tab and copy all the values you see there, and add them on Atom.

  1. Here's what it should look like on Atom. Click on the “Save” button.

  1. Go back to the WordPress tab and click on the “Verify connection” button.

  1. You should be able to see this screen.

Step 3: Wait for DNS Propagation

Name server changes don't take effect instantly. Your domain will propagate across the internet within a few hours, though full global propagation can take up to 72 hours.

To check if your domain is connected:

Visit your domain in a browser. If your WordPress site loads, you're all set.
