Want your Replit app to load at your own domain (e.g., www.yourbrand.com)? Here’s a clean, reliable way to point DNS from Atom to Replit —no extra hosting needed.
What you’ll need
An active domain registered at Atom.
A Replit project that’s deployed.
Access to both: Atom DNS and your Replit project.
Popular setups (pick one)
1) yourbrand.com only (simplest)
In Replit: go to Publishing tab > Domains tab and click "Connect your own domain"
enteryourbrand.comReplit will show DNS records to add (commonly an A record and a TXT for verification and a routing record).
This will bring up DNS Records manager. Delete unnecessary records and add what Replit provided above.
Replit will show "verifying" under the domain name. Replit will validate and issue SSL automatically. Replit Docs
2) Apex domain + www (both should work)
You want the site on yourbrand.com and www.yourbrand.com.
Link both domains in Replit: same process as above
Add each set of records Replit shows you.
How long does it take?
Most changes validate within a few minutes after DNS updates, but global DNS propagation can take longer. Replit completes SSL once validation succeeds. Weblianz Solutions
When both are verified and online, you will see "Verified" below the domain.
Troubleshooting
SSL pending. This typically resolves once DNS is correct and validated by Replit’s automation. Give it a bit after records propagate. Replit Community Forum
Still seeing the
.replit.appURL only. Verify both the TXT (ownership) and routing records are present and exactly match the values from Replit. Then click Link domain again in Replit to re-check. Replit Docs
FAQ
Can Atom be my DNS provider for this?
Yes—Atom can act as your registrar and DNS provider. You’ll still host the app on Replit; Atom simply publishes the DNS records Replit requires. (Many customers prefer this split for resilience and control.)
Do I need to buy the domain from Replit?
No. Replit lets you link any domain you own. Buying at Atom and pointing DNS to Replit works great. Replit Docs
Will email keep working?
Yes—DNS for web and email can coexist. If you use email (e.g., Google Workspace, Fastmail), make sure your MX and TXT (SPF/DMARC/DKIM) records remain in place. Only add or change the records Replit tells you to.
