Atom Premium listings are designed to maximize real buyer exposure, combining Atom’s discovery, marketing, and buyer-intent traffic with distribution across supported registrar and distribution paths that drive meaningful retail sales.

Wherever possible, Atom’s goal is to integrate directly with registrars and service providers to create a cleaner, more reliable distribution experience. As those integrations expand, the partial exclusivity policy will continue to evolve.

In cases where a direct integration is not yet available, Atom may allow sellers to list Premium domains directly on external platforms if those platforms provide a demonstrable opportunity for meaningful retail sales, and only under the terms outlined in the policy.

👉 For the most current and authoritative list of supported distribution paths and rules, please refer to our official partial exclusivity policy:

✅ How It Works

You’re allowed to list your Atom Premium domains externally if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The domain is listed at a Buy Now (BIN) price that is at least 10% higher than the BIN price on Atom

  • The external platform is part of Atom’s supported registrar or distribution network, as defined in the partial exclusivity policy

For Standard and Plus listings, there is no exclusivity requirement. You’re free to list those domains on any external platforms at any price.

💸 If the domain sells via an External Channel

As long as the listing complies with the pricing requirements and is sold through a supported or approved channel, no commission is owed to Atom.

To report a sale:

  1. Click “Actions” next to the domain

Actions Dropdown

3. Select “Report a Sale”

4. Upload a screenshot of the registrar sale confirmation (domain, price, and date must be visible)

Report A Sale

5. Report within 72 hours to stay compliant

Note: In some cases, Atom may require additional information such as a screenshare of the registrar account to verify the sale.

🧠 Why this policy exists

Buyers discover domains in different ways.

Some find names through Atom’s search, branding tools, content, or marketing campaigns, but choose to complete the purchase through their preferred registrar path. This policy supports that behavior while preserving the value created by Atom’s discovery and marketing efforts.

The pricing differential helps protect that value while giving sellers broader reach through high-performing channels.

Important Terms and Other Notes:

  • You must maintain a BIN price on supported external channels and Atom at all times. The BIN price on supported external channels must be at-least 10% greater than Atom BIN price. If you increase the price of your listing on Atom, you must also increase the price of your domain listing to remain compliant with this policy at all times.

  • Reducing the Atom BIN price after the domain sells outside Atom is a direct violation of our policy

  • Since Atom relies on sellers to report their sales, we will enforce a strict compliance policy to prevent any misuse of this feature.

  • Atom may require the sellers to provide additional details (such as proof of ownership, proof of sale, reason for removal) in order to verify compliance with our policies.

  • This is a Beta program, and we will likely make changes to this feature as well as pricing in future based upon our learnings from the current phase.

  • In general, we do not allow any negotiations with buyers or brokers outside the Atom platform. However, Atom would like to encourage and support the success of our sellers. There are a few scenarios in which you are allowed to engage with buyers or brokers.

    1. You can import the lead directly to Atom for a reduced commission (4.5%).

    2. If you have received an offer through an approved selling platform; you have the option to finalize the transaction and agree on a price; in that case, you will need to pay the 10% commission to Atom based on the selling price. This commission reflects Atom's significant investment in marketing and providing exposure for premium marketplace listings. However, we also want to remain flexible to support and foster the success of our sellers.
