Smart Transfer Scheduler

A guide for investors — move your entire portfolio to Atom without managing each transfer manually

Written by Atom

Smart Transfer Scheduler lets you upload your full domain portfolio at once and handles the scheduling, batching, and coordination of transfers to Atom. You don't pay for everything upfront, and you don't track each domain individually — you stay involved at key checkpoints, and Atom handles the rest in between.

How it works

  • Upload. Submit your domain list — with or without auth codes. The system runs an eligibility check on every domain, identifies expiration dates and current registrars, and flags any domains that aren't eligible.

  • Review your batches. Eligible domains are automatically grouped into transfer batches by expiration date. For your first batch, you'll need to provide auth codes and unlock domains before completing payment.

  • Atom schedules the transfers. Future batches are scheduled automatically. Five days before each batch's transfer date, you'll receive a reminder to complete any required actions.

  • Pay per batch. Your first batch is paid upfront at setup. Each subsequent batch is billed automatically when it transfers.

What you'll pay

.com transfers are priced at $9.49 each for your first 100 domains (limited time pricing) and $10.87 each after that (Edge pricing). You only pay for your first batch at the time of setup — future batches are charged automatically as each one transfers, so you're not paying for your full portfolio upfront.

What you need to stay on top of

Smart Transfer Scheduler handles the coordination, but there are a few things you're responsible for at each batch:

  • Auth codes. Provide a valid authorization code for each domain before the batch's transfer date.

  • Domain unlocking. Unlock each domain at its current registrar before the transfer date.

  • Payment method. Keep a valid payment method on file. If yours becomes invalid, a banner will appear in your Transfer Dashboard — update it before the next batch transfers.

For your first batch, auth codes and unlocking are required before you can complete payment — even if the transfer date is more than 5 days away. For future batches, you'll receive a reminder email and dashboard banner 5 days out, then daily reminders until you've completed the required steps.

Tracking your batches

Every batch in your Transfer Dashboard moves through four stages:

  • Scheduled — Confirmed and waiting for the transfer date

  • Preparing — 5 days out; complete auth codes and unlock domains

  • In Progress — Transfer has started; domains appear in your Incoming Transfers table

  • Transfer Closed — Complete

When a batch is in Preparing status, your dashboard shows only the domains that need action — missing auth code, still locked. A "View all domains" button lets you see the full batch.

Can I remove a domain from a batch?

Yes — you can remove domains from a batch at any time before it moves to In Progress. Once a transfer starts, domains in that batch can no longer be removed.

What if a transfer fails?

Domains that fail to transfer are shown individually after the batch closes, each with a Retry button. You can retry failed domains without affecting the rest of your portfolio.

What if my domains are expiring soon?

If you upload domains expiring before the next standard batch date, they'll be flagged as "Required for transfer now" and moved into an immediate batch. Take action right away to avoid any lapse.

What you're agreeing to

  • You confirm you're the rightful registrant with the legal right to transfer each domain you submit, that each domain is active and in good standing, and that none are subject to a lock, dispute, or pending legal proceeding.

  • Auth codes and domain unlocking are your responsibility. Atom is not liable for transfer failures caused by missing, invalid, or expired auth codes, or domains that remain locked at the time of transfer.

  • By setting up a scheduled batch, you authorize Atom to charge your payment method automatically when each future batch transfers.

  • Domains cannot be removed from a batch once it moves to In Progress. Transfer fees for completed batches are non-refundable.
