Why set up Domain Contacts?

  • Get 1 year of renewal (eligible high-value domains only).

  • Take immediate control of the domain inside your Atom account.

  • Keep your options open — you can move the domain later if you prefer (subject to standard ICANN rules).

How to create Domain Contacts

  1. Sign in to your Atom account.

  2. Go to My Domains → Default Preferences (link)

  3. Enter the Registrant (Domain Owner) details: legal name, email, address, phone.

  4. Save your contacts.

  5. Let us know that you saved the domain contact info.

Tip: Use accurate, up-to-date info. This is required by ICANN and may be used for important notices about your domain.

“I planned to transfer to another registrar.”

No problem. Creating contacts now is the fastest way to take custody today and still transfer later if you want. You’ll also receive the extra renewal year when the domain arrives in your Atom account (for eligible high-value domains).

Notes & FAQs

  • Will there be a transfer lock?
In some cases, a change of registrant can introduce a temporary 60-day transfer lock per ICANN rules. If you need flexibility, contact us! We will help you move the domain after checking few things.

  • What if my details are private?
We support privacy/WHOIS protection where available. Your personal info won’t be publicly visible when privacy is on.
