How do I receive the domain?
Purchasing a domain from Atom is very straightforward. Once you purchase a domain outright, you will receive a confirmation message along with the steps on how to receive your domain. Our domain transfer specialists will also be in touch with you with the first steps of the transfer process and will be there to guide you through every step of the way to make sure that it goes smoothly.
So let’s guide you on how to access your Domain Transfer Center so that you can select your transfer preference.
Here are three easy steps:
Upon completing the payment, access this page to choose the destination for receiving the domain. From your account, navigate to your “My Account” on the left pane, proceed to the “Domain Transfer Center”, and click on “View Details”.
There are two options to receive the domain. Select whether you would like to (A) receive the domain within the same registrar where it’s currently sitting, or (B) move it away to a different one.
Once you choose your preferred transfer method, our transfer specialists will provide you with an update within a few minutes to a few hours. If you opt for the second choice – transferring to a different registrar, you will be sent an EPP code, also known as an Authorization Code. This code is needed so you can initiate the transfer from your receiving registrar.
How long does it take?
The transfer is typically initiated within the same day or the next day after we receive your transfer order. The goal is to select your transfer preference so we can get started as soon as we have your transfer details. The whole process typically takes 1-2 business days; however, in some cases, it may take a bit more time.
TIPS:
The quickest way to receive your domain is when you select the first option (in Step 2 above); which is to transfer the domain to the same registrar. This typically does not require the approval of the releasing registrar.

Can the domain be transferred to me if purchased via installments?
The transfer process will only start when the domain is paid in full. Don’t worry! You can still connect the domain to your website as well as set up an email while on a payment plan.
