We make a significant investment in paid advertising to promote domains listed in the Marketplace. A large % of buyers visit our marketplace first and then explore several domain names in our Marketplace. However in some cases, buyers may visit the landing page of a domain first by directly typing the landing page URL of domain (commonly known as "Type In" Traffic).

Many sellers are typically concerned about "Traffic Leakage", which means a buyer visits your landing page first, and then ends up buying another domain from the Marketplace. If a buyer visits your landing page as the initial page (Type-in traffic), and then proceeds to purchase another seller's domain from Our Marketplace, you will now earn commission for assisting with that purchase.

If a buyer comes directly to your landing page by typing your Domain URL, we will keep track of the buyer's visit and their purchase activity for 7 days by storing a "Cookie" on their computer.

If, instead of purchasing your domain, the buyer purchases another domain from our Marketplace (belonging to another seller), you will earn a commission. Even if the buyer closes their browser and comes back to us within 7 days directly or via our paid Retargeting, you will still earn a commission as long as they purchase a domain from another seller or from another White Label Marketplace powered by our platform.

You will earn 10% commission from the SH share of commission for the sale (max $500). Here are some examples:

Example 1: A buyer visits your landing page first, and then buys a SH registered domain for $2000, with 25% seller commission. In this case you will earn $150 commission from the Atom share (10% of $1500)

Example2: A buyer visits your landing page and then buys a premium domain for $10,000 (with 25% SH commission). In this case you will earn $250 (10% of $2500).

Example3: A buyer visits your landing page and then buys a standard listing domain for $2000 (with 7.5% SH commission). In this case you will earn $15 commission (10% of $150)

Example4: A buyer visits your landing page and then buys a Premium domain for $100,000 (with 15% SH commission). In this case you will earn $500 commission ($500 is the max allowed commission per transaction).

What if the buyer visits my WLM landing page first and then buys another domain from Atom?

All domains (Premium, Standard or WLM listings) will be eligible for commission. As long as the domains point to SH or to your WLM, and the buyer visits your landing page first (before visiting another page on Atom), you will be eligible for the commission.

When will I be paid?

As soon as the purchased domain is transferred to the buyer, you will receive a notification about the payment and the commission will be automatically credited to your account?

What if the buyer visited my landing page but it was not the first page visited?

In order to be eligible to receive the commission, your page must be the first page visited by the buyer before they visit any other page on the SH platform. In other words, this specific commission is for "type-in" traffic to your landing page. However, even though your domain will not be eligible for commission in this situation, your domain will receive a special Boost in Marketplace ranking.

What if the Buyer purchases another domain from my portfolio?

Currently this feature only offers commission as long as the buyer purchases a domain from another seller.

We offer Affiliate/ Referral programs to promote your own domains and earn commissions. In the future, we may consolidate the other affiliate programs to standardize the tracking and incentives.

Can I earn multiple commissions from the same Landing Page?

Absolutely! There is no limit to how many times you can earn commission from the same Landing Page. As long as your domain continues to get Type-In traffic that results in a sale, you will earn commission for that sale.

Important: Beta Feature

This is a Beta feature which relies on Browser cookie technology for tracking. While the feature is expected to work in most cases, it may not work correctly in some situations (for example if the buyer uses a different computer to make the final purchase). We may make changes to this feature based upon our learnings from the Beta phase.
